She continues to amaze us everyday. She has started blowing raspberries which they say is one of the first forms of communication. She also grabs her feet with her hands. We tried solid food for the first time this month. She has had carrots, pears and bananas. None of which she is really fond of but as our pediatrician says it is just to get her used to food. She will not need real food until 6 months so between now and then she will mainly be consuming milk. I have lots of pics to post of her doing lots of new and first things. Stay tuned!!

 

 

Firecracker!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

3 months

 

 Latest stats 12 lbs 5 oz, size 2 diapers, 3-6 mo clothes. Lots of smiles, laughs, and coos. She is drooling and blowing spit bubbles. She is really finding her voice and loves to make all sorts of noises and talks up a storm. We can't believe how much she has grown and changed over the past 3 months. I am back at work now and that is going well. Dave and Claire have daddy/daughter time when I am at work and they love their time together.

The 70's are Back

 This cute little smocked top is mine from 1979! I have to say my mom can be a pack rat of sorts but I am happy she saved this number. It is in mint condition and makes me happy to think that my sweet girl and myself wore the same outfit. I also LOVE the monogrammed diaper cover I purchased for her. Perfect sweet ensemble. This was taken on our first trip to church. Precious baby C was an angel in church and our kind church family all loved seeing her and complimenting her on her great behavior during the service!! She had a bottle during the service and when she got to the alter for communion she let out a huge burp as the preacher went to bless her, too funny!!

 

Two month check up

Today was Claire's two month check up...

She got her first round of shots today. She was a trooper, only cried for a few seconds. The pediatrician says she is ahead of schedule on development. She is drooling and chewing on her fists already. She is very aware and active which people have already commented on saying, "She is very alert for a two month old!" She lifts her head and feet simultaneously and gets frustrated that she cant sit up. She is also working on her boxing moves (see pics below). Her eyes are still blue and pediatrician says they will most likely be blue or hazel but most likely not dark brown since they haven't changed. She is maxing out her size 1 diapers and is wearing 3 month clothing. She also has a complete wardrobe through the summer months, what a blessed little girl!! She usually only wakes once through the night for a feeding. She still wont take a pacifier but she has decided that she likes her swing! She usually only cries if she is hungry or tired. Such a sweet little girl.

Party Girl

This was Claire's Cinco de Mayo outfit. Her Great Aunts Maura and Ronnie gave it to her. So cute!!

2 months

 Wow how Claire has grown and her personality is starting to show BIG time!! She has somewhat of a temper but majority of the time she is happy and SO sweet! Lots of smiles!! She is starting to notice and use her hands and feet to entertain herself. She sucks/chews on her fists all the time and is starting to drool as well. I love all the time I have been able to spend with her and will be sad when I have to go back to work, but means more daddy-daughter time and Claire is looking forward to it!!
