Flamingo Fun!

We got this great piece of artwork and the Spring Arts Festival last month. Claire's first official piece of art, can't wait to get it hung in her room!! Love the flamingo, perfect for a Florida babe!!

These pics are from April. Claire is getting SO big, I can't believe how quick she is growing. One thing in particular are her eyelashes. You could barely see her eyelashes when she was born but they have at least tripled in length. Also when she was born the top of her right ear was completely flat, it didn't have that curl on the edge. I think that ear was pressed on my rib for 39+ weeks. Over the past 6 weeks it has curled up to match the other perfect ear. Amazing!!

Dave and I are so in love with our sweet baby girl. She is also loved by SO many of our family and friends. We are all so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives. Thanks to you all!!

Weeks 38, 39 and Delivery!!

I am a few weeks behind so let's get caught up!!



38 weeks


38 weeks

39 weeks and 3 days, leaving for the hospital for delivery!!

I went to the doctor at 39 weeks and 2 days and was anxious to set a date for delivery. I had had contractions all weekend and was thinking I wouldn't make it through another week without going into labor. I didn't want to go into labor naturally since Claire was still breech and that would mean emergency c-section. I am the type of person that likes plans!! So the doctor said how about tomorrow? I said sure!! I went to work that day very excited and looking forward to 3/13/12!!

7lbs 15 oz 19 1/4 inches

Although she measured longer (20 1/2") at her 3 day appt so I don't think they got a correct measurement at birth!
